Special meeting of the Board of Supervisors for the purpose of
selecting an independent auditor or firm to conduct the 2003 audit.
Vice-Chairperson Diane Tobin called the meeting to order at 7:03 PM. Present were Allen Aungst, Herman
Clemens, Jerry Wise, Kathy Ferguson, and Brian Tobin.
Pledge of Allegiance
Public Comment - No comments.
Tobin stated that the Township advertised for a firm or individual to submit proposals to conduct our 2003 audit.
Two responses were received.
s Patton & Lettich, Pottsville - $2,175 - Quote for doing the work in their offices.
s Huber & Assoc., Harrisburg - $4,000 - Quote for doing the work in their offices.
$3,175 - Quote for doing the work in our offices.
Aungst questioned if Patton & Lettich were asked to submit a quote for doing the work in our office. Ferguson said
she had requested they submit a price for both.
After discussion, Aungst motioned to contact Patton & Lettich for their quote for an on-site audit and accept the
lowest of the two quotes received for the on-site audit. Clemens seconded, Tobin opposed, motion carried three to
one.
The Board of Supervisors asked Ferguson to contact Patton & Lettich by fax to get their quote for an in-house audit
and ask for a response within two days.
Larry Zimmerman entered the meeting at 7:25 PM.
Tobin asked for public comment, no comments given.
Aungst requested a brief executive session on potential litigation.
Tobin motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 PM, Clemens seconded, motion carried.
